Environmental and Nutritional Influences on Women’s Health
Judy Lane, N.P. and Susan Luck, R.N.
In today's world we face many challenges for maintaining health and preventing disease. Our modern food supply is depleted of nutrients and our exposure to environmental toxins increases daily. Research has shown that these factors contribute to many current disorders including immune dysfunction, hormonal and digestive imbalances, inflammatory conditions, neurological problems and changes in cognitive function. This seminar will review current evidence based research on implementing effective strategies for addressing the environmental body burden and for protective nutritional support to maintain health in a toxic world.
Women’s Health, Hormones and the Environment
Lisa Keller, M.D. and Judy Lane, N.P.In this seminar we will review women’s hormonal changes throughout the lifecycle. We will discuss hormonal changes and imbalances that can cause symptoms, including PMS and Menopause. Bio-identical hormones will be differentiated from synthetic hormones. Xenoestrogens will be reviewed and their effects on women’s health will be discussed. A review of the literature will be presented.
Healthy Aging for WomenJulia Torres, M.D. and Susan Luck, R.N.
Explore myths and advances in ideas about aging. Discuss the issue of anti-aging hormones. Discover what foods may offer protective benefits. Learn what tests may give you information and what actions you can take to age healthfully and gracefully.
Breast Cancer and the Environment
Lisa Keller, M.D. and Judy Lane, N.P.
There is increasing evidence that environmental toxins mimic and interact with estrogen and contribute to increased breast cancer risk. Discover what these are and how to minimize your exposure. Find out about innovative strategies to create your own proactive protection plan.
Environmental Influences on Thyroid Function
Julia Torres, M.D.
Increasing evidence has implicated environmental factors in the hidden epidemic of thyroid imbalances. In this seminar Dr. Torres will discuss how toxins in the environment impact endocrine function and what natural and pharmaceutical therapies may be appropriate. The impact of the stress response on endocrine function will also be reviewed.
Maternal Health and our Environment
Lisa Keller, M.D.
Dr. Keller will discuss nutritional needs during pregnancy as well as pre-conception for optimal wellness. She will review the fetus’ special sensitivity to environmental exposures and how to limit that exposure. Both food sources and nutritional supplementation will be discussed.
Environmental Estrogens, Breast Health and Nutrition
Susan Luck, R.N. and Judy Lane, N.P.

Many women are concerned about being more pro-active about breast health. In this seminar, Ms. Lane will review the physiology of the breast, breast exams, and differentiate between benign conditions (tenderness, cysts, PMS) and those of more concern. She will review the evidence for nutrients that may help maintain breast tissue in a healthy state. Childhood and teen exposure to excess or foreign estrogens will be reviewed.
Women’s Health and Nutrition
Julia Torres, M.D. and Susan Luck, R.N.
In this seminar we will cover women’s nutritional needs over a lifetime. We will discuss how deficiencies may increase risk of disease and which nutrients may offer protection.
Environmental Influences on Women’s Health
Susan Luck, R.N. and Judy Lane, N.P.

We live in a world where we are exposed to more and more toxins all the time just in the process of living. Nurses Luck and Lane will provide a comprehensive look at environmental influences on health. They will review what things we encounter in our daily lives that put us more at risk and how to create a more healthful environment. They will also review simple ways to detoxify us from these exposures.
Genetics, Environmental Health and Detoxification
Judy Lane, N.P. and Susan Luck R.N.
Whether we remain healthy or experience disease is often a result of our environment and our genetic predispositions. Learn what these factors are and how they can interact to increase your risk of disease. Develop a proactive protection plan.
Environmental and Nutritional Influences on Fertility
Lisa Keller, M.D. and Julia Torres, M.D.
There is new evidence that environmental toxins can negatively affect fertility. Find out how to protect yourself and your family.
How to Stay Healthy in a Toxic World
Judy Lane, N.P. and Susan Luck, R.N.
